Story
Many of you may know but for those who do not, myself and my wife devastatingly lost our daughter Immie Rae in June 2023.
After a generally healthy pregnancy with Immie my wife suffered a placental abruption at 37+5 weeks.
Immie was born by emergency C section on 6th June and sadly died just 6 hours later due to Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) - a lack of oxygen to the brain, unfortunately cause by the placental abruption.
Our eldest daughter Effie (4) was so excited to become a big sister and had this snatched away from her in the blink of an eye.
I have set up this just giving page as three of my friends and I are running the Brighton marathon in April 2024 and would like to raise as much money as possible to support the fantastic charity SANDS, who strive in ‘saving babies lives and supporting bereaved families’
Please donate as little or as much as you are able.
The loss of our daughter has been devastating for us as a family and our wider family and friends, if there is any good that could come from this it is to raise awareness and raise funds for other families who tragically find themselves in similar circumstances.
We thank each and everyone of you.
