As guardians of the Amazon, the most iconic forest on the planet, we bring together the power of science and technology, traditional knowledge of local peoples, and the support of everyday people to create innovative conservation solutions that balance the needs of people and nature.

Story

Uniting science, people, and innovation for a thriving Amazon.

The Lungs of Our Planet Need Our Help

I am raising money for the Amazon Conservation Association by running a 230km self-supported ultra marathon through the depths of the Peruvian Amazon jungle. This will be the race of my life through one of the most biodiverse and threatened places on Earth.

The Amazon rainforest provides us all with invaluable services - it regulates climate, stores carbon, harbors medicinal plants, and provides livelihoods for indigenous peoples. Yet it is under threat from deforestation and habitat loss. We need a healthy Amazon not just for the plants, animals and people who live there, but for our own future too.

By supporting this fundraiser, you can help protect the 'lungs of our planet' - the ancient forests and rich biodiversity of the Amazon. Even small donations make a difference to this vitally important cause. I am pushing myself to the limit traversing 230km of dense jungle to show my dedication. Please consider contributing whatever you can to this urgent mission.

This is not just about the Amazon itself - it touches all of our lives. The entire world depends on a thriving Amazon. Your donation will help fund conservation in one of the most magical and important places on Earth.
