Team Cure - TCS London Marathon 2026

James Fry is raising money for Cure Parkinson’s

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

Team Cure are taking on the 2026 TCS London Marathon, hoping to raise over £100,000 to fund cutting edge research into potential new treatments that could slow, stop or reverse Parkinson's.

Story

I will be running the London Marathon and raising money for Team Cure Parkinson's on April 26, 2026.

This cause is deeply personal to me, as I lost my beloved father to Parkinson's in 2024.

He was a strong and remarkable man, and his absence is felt every day by all the family. We very much want to keep his memory and legacy alive and help reduce the number of families who endure the slow decline of their loved ones due to this illness.

By supporting Cure Parkinson's, we can help work towards breakthroughs that will change lives and bring hope to many.

I am aiming to raise £5,000 for this vital cause. Your generous donations will directly contribute to research efforts that seek a cure for Parkinson's disease.

Training has been going well, with over 600km of training in the last 6 months and a number of longer runs - up to 20miles. I am not going to break any records and hope to do it in around 4 hours 15minutes.

I am looking forward to it with a fair amount of apprehension and would greatly appreciate any donation you can make to support this great cause, which is very close to our hearts and help make a small difference in the fight to find a cure.

My company & JV partner will double any donations given....so anything you give will be doubled.

Cheers,

James
