Story
Hi & thanks for visiting my page set up to raise funds for MND Scotland in partnership with Celtic FC Foundation. Please give what you can afford ❤️James
Motor neuron disease is a rapidly progressing terminal condition for which there is currently no cure or meaningful treatment and the average life expectancy is just 18 months from diagnosis. The disease causes people to lose the ability to eat, move, speak and, eventually, breathe unaided. There are currently around 480 people living with MND in Scotland with 200 new diagnosis each year. MND Scotland is the only charity that provides direct support to people with MND and their families in Scotland, whilst also funding vital MND research.
Thank you for your wonderful support.
In tribute to the Greatest Ever Celt 🍀✊
Celtic FC Foundation are delighted to announce that we are partnering with MND Scotland, to mark the 20th anniversary of the sad passing of Celtic legend, Jimmy Johnstone to motor neuron disease (MND).
In tribute to the shirt number he proudly wore for the Hoops, ‘Jinky’s Journey’ will see supporters follow a 7-mile route from the Jimmy Johnstone Memorial Garden in Viewpark to his statue outside Celtic Park, on Bank Holiday Monday, May 4, 2026.

MND Scotland is the only Scottish charity providing care and support to people affected by Motor Neuron Disease (MND), as well as funding research to take us a step closer to a cure.
We want a world without Motor Neuron Disease, so I’m fundraising because I want to help find a cure for this devastating disease.
Sponsoring me will also help MND Scotland to provide practical, financial, and emotional support to people affected by MND.
Thank you!
