James's fundraiser for Petals on behalf of Oscars Dream

James Keenan is raising money for Petals
In memory of Oscar Keenan

Running 4 half marathons in 4 days · 20 May 2026

Petals specialist counselling service can be accessed by any parent affected by pregnancy or baby loss. We provide this service at no cost to parents and it is our aim to offer this vital service to all bereaved parents no matter where they live or the type of loss they have experienced.

Story

Our baby boy Oscar was born on 27th May 2024. From the moment he was born we were in love and mesmerised. He was the beautiful boy we had waited so long for.

Sadly on the morning of 26th June 2024 Oscar passed away. The month that Oscar was in our lives, we made many memories that we will cherish forever.

Whilst his life was brief, he will never be forgotten and a lovely way to continue to live our lives for him, is to raise money for charities in his name - Oscars Dream.

In May, the month of Oscars birth, I will be undertaking a running challenge in memory of Oscar. I will be raising money for Petals, which is a child bereavement charity that have been so wonderful in supporting my wife and I since our loss.

From 20th – 23rd May I will be running 4 half marathons in 4 days in memory of the 4 precious weeks that Oscar was with us.

These will be run in the morning of each, and in the following locations:

Wednesday 20th May – Royal parks, London

Thursday 21st May – River run in Henley

Friday 22nd May – Oxford

Saturday 23rd May – A local run close to home in Brill, Bucks

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I would be very grateful for any donation you are able to provide.

All the best,

James
