Having met at the infamous 2021 Marathon des Sables were it claimed over 55% of the entrants, JK and Rosie having just worked at the 39th edition as Runner Liaisons, will be swapping their blue jackets for trainers and returning for the 40th edition to run and support WalkOnceMore which JK has represented on his previous 3 MdS journeys, raising valuable funds for the amazing charity in honour of our good friend Darren Houghton following his accident in December 2014 which left him Quadriplegic.

As a lead up to MdS 26, JK and Rosie will be running a warm race on the Island of Madeira 60k in November with a technical difficulty of 4 out of 5. We got lost and covered 69.5km but we finished.

The MARATHON DES SABLES Legendary is an extraordinary race and adventure that has been taking place in the southern Moroccan Sahara since 1986.

A sublime and mythical desert crossing, the program includes 11 days in Morocco, including 9 in the desert, a course of around 250 km spread over 6 stages, to be completed by running or walking.

In 2026, the MDS Legendary will celebrate its 40th edition, a great opportunity to celebrate four decades of emotions, challenges and human stories in the heart of the desert.

This anniversary edition promises to be exceptional with the long stage will be 100km long.
