James's fundraiser for Chasing the Stigma

In Memory of our Friends Mark Sullivan and John Morgan
My name is James King, I’m challenging myself to complete the three tallest mountains in Britain in 24 hours.
This is the National Three Peak Challenge; climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon to raise money for the charity ‘Chasing the Stigma’. This will be a massive test of my endurance, determination, will power and strength.
I believe whole heartedly in the good work that ‘Chasing the Stigma’ does across the UK. All of us no matter who, or where we are, may need support at some point in our lives. Over the past couple of years, I have lost two close family friends who tragically took their own lives. Sadly, all of us know a friend or a loved one who has sacrificed their lives because they saw no other way out. This needs to change.
The National Three Peaks Challenge will be tough for me…. But I believe in the cause, this is what will pull me through! 💪🏻
Chasing the Stigma is a national mental health charity with big ambitions; to reduce suicide, to eradicate stigma and to enable everyone in the country to be able to access clear pathways to mental health care.
The aim is to humanise and normalise mental health, and actively challenge the ‘stigma’.
The vision is to make help as easy as possible to find by making the ‘Hub of Hope’ the nation’s go-to mental health signposting tool. At the same time they create a true environment of understanding across the UK via the Ambassador of Hope training programme.
