24 hour run / Football tournament · 31 August 2024

St Giles Hospice provides vital care to local people, and their loved ones, living with a terminal illness. Our dedicated team provides individually-tailored care, free of charge, either at the hospice or in patients’ own homes across our communities.

Story

Last years fundraiser was a grand success, but it could’ve been better. Better in terms of planning, which is this years focus. Last year I ran for 24 hours straight on the Brereton Park track, but this year there’ll be a twist. I will run blindfolded until I break the world record, which currently sits at 72 miles. While I run the track, I’ll be hosting a kids football tournament for various ages inside the track on the Brereton Park field, with a food stall serving the whole day. Teams will be playing for ‘The DLF cup’. More details to follow.
