Story
We say that our son Rocco didn't learn to walk, he was running from day one! One morning in Spring 2024, he limped slowly out of the bedroom. At first, we assumed it was a muscle pull, too much activity. But then he didn't get better, and months later he was diagnosed with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), a rare condition in children. Through the tears of watching our boy suffer, we've been inspired by his indomitable spirit, and thanks to the amazing support of Great Ormond Street Hospital, Rocco has the best care imaginable. GOSH’s care can only continue through the painstaking work of organisations such of Versus Arthritis.
Versus Arthritis invests in breakthrough treatments, the best information and vital support for everyone affected by arthritis. We chose to raise money for Versus Arthritis because it is their work which gives children like Rocco the best chance to live a happy life, free from pain.
This means a lot to me. I'm running the London Marathon 2025, and it is charities like Versus Arthritis that give Rocco a chance of running it in 2040 (if he's as crazy as his dad!). I'd be so appreciative of anything you could donate to help me hit my fundraising target of £2200.
Thank you,
James
