Story

South Central Ambulance Charity provide the funding for training, clothing, equipment and more to keep the following volunteers active in their local communities within Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Hampshire

Community First Responders (CFRs)

Volunteer Car Drivers

SCAS Basic Enhanced Care Paramedics

Welfare Volunteers

I've been a CFR / Community First Responder, based around Milton Keynes for coming up to a year, volunteering 20-50 hours a month, responding to 999 calls and providing event first aid cover in Milton Keynes and the surrounding villages.

This all takes money and to help bring awareness that this is not funded by the NHS/Government, but by an independent charity, I will be walking/running 5KM every day of January with the combined weight of our response bag and defibrillator on my back

15KG

Given the weather is a tad bleak in January and the contents of such bags are vital, I've been loaned an empty bag which I've filled with water bottles to hit the 15KG weight equivalent

So, if you see me out and about, please say hello, if you are in a position to donate, thank you for your generosity or if you can tell a friend and spread the word about the great things South Central Ambulance Charity and its volunteers do, that would be amazing!

Thank you

James
