Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Meet Maggie – a bright, funny 6-year-old.

Maggie was born with Down’s syndrome and lights up every room she’s in. She inspires all of her family and her friends, including my daughter, every single day.

Maggie receives invaluable support from ELDSSG, a charity that helps her (and many other children) live full, happy lives with the best chance at education and independence. A vital part of this support is the employment of two specialist teachers who work directly with schools – supporting staff and tailoring learning to the specific needs of children with Down’s syndrome. This isn’t currently provided by the local authority, which is why we are funding it ourselves. But this incredible work needs funding to continue.

That’s why Maggie’s dad JB, myself, and a group of friends are taking on a huge challenge: in April 2026 we’re climbing Mount Toubkal – North Africa’s highest peak at 13,671ft. It’s going to be cold, tough, and way up in the altitude sickness zone… but every step will be for Maggie and her amazing charity.

🙏 Please donate what you can to help us reach the summit and our fundraising goal. Together, we can make a difference for Maggie and children like her.

Your donations – and of course Maggie and her friends – will motivate us on this challenge.

💙 Every penny counts. Every step is for Maggie and her charity.
