Story
I’m raising money for Solihull Down Syndrome Support Group, a charity that has been incredibly important to my family for over 20 years. My brother, Stephen, has been a member for most of his life, and the support, opportunities, and sense of community they’ve given him, together with his friends, has been unbelievable to witness.
This group doesn’t just provide activities and resources—it creates a space where people with Down Syndrome and their families feel supported, included, and empowered. Seeing the positive impact it has had on Stephen's life is the reason I want to give something back.
To do that, I’ve signed up for a skydive… which is honestly something I never thought I’d do. I’m absolutely terrified of heights, so jumping out of a plane at 13,000ft in the air is a huge challenge!
Every donation will help ensure that Solihull Down Syndrome Support Group can continue supporting families like mine for years to come, by continuing to offer amazing things such as regular Speech and language support, awareness sessions for parents and education settings, stay and play groups, drama groups, forest school, and monthly social events for its members aged between 10-17 and 18 plus.
Thank you so much for your support—it is really appreciated!!
