Story
In April 2023 my dad, Rob, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). It's really hard to put into words how much my dad means to me, he's my dad, neighbour, best friend and hero all in one. Since the diagnosis there has been a feeling of helplessness as the effects of the disease have began to show. I've been searching for something to show my support and make a difference, so this May, supported by my good friend Calum McDowall, we're running the Edinburgh marathon to raise funds for MND Scotland. This is a charity that is now so close to my heart, and any donation no matter how small would be so greatly appreciated.
My dad has touched a number of people in his life, and you'd be hard fought to find anyone who has a bad word to say about him. He's the kindest man I know and I'm sure anyone who has known him throughout the years watching me play football, been involved with him at the cricket, or have just been lucky enough to know him, will agree that he is deserving of any show of support we can give him. I'm hoping doing this can show him how much he means to me and how much everyone is behind him in this battle
MND Scotland is the only Scottish charity providing care and support to people affected by Motor Neurone Disease (MND), as well as funding research to take us a step closer to a cure.
Sponsoring me will also help MND Scotland to provide practical, financial, and emotional support to people affected by MND.
Thank you!
