Story
On 16th January 2016 I was admitted to the ICU at Kings College Hospital after being attacked after a night out with friends. I sustained 2 brain haemorrhages as well as 11 broken bones including my jaw, eye socket and skull. My family were told I wouldn’t make it through the night. If it was for the amazing doctors and nurses at Kings I wouldn’t be here today to take part in this challenge. So what is Jim’s big challenge, well across the next 12 months I want to complete:
-Half Marathon (London Landmarks April 12th)
-Full Marathon (Yorkshire Marathon October 18th)
-Iron Man 70.3 (Ironman Swansea 12th July)
-50km Run (Hundred Hills 14th March)
-100km Run (TBC)
-The 3 Peaks (TBC)
I’m looking to raise £4500 as this is the average amount it would cost to treat a patient in ICU for a week. Any donations would be hugely appreciated and mean the world to me.
‘What if it all works out’
lots of love
James
