Story
Hello everyone!
On 12 April I’ll be running the Brighton Marathon (my first full marathon).
I am raising money for the British Red Cross, a charity that provides support via care packages and through volunteer work in the UK to fire and flood victims, as well as overseas in places affected by conflict and natural disasters such as Gaza, Sudan, Nigeria, Ukraine, Lebanon and Palestine.
As I am raising for charity I thought it was best to make this as challenging as possible. Every £50 raised, I’ll knock 5 minutes off a base time of 4 hours. £600 would mean a target of 3 hours (makes me feel sick).
I really appreciate your support, donations (and guidance) for the charity and marathon.
Check back for updates on training. Open to challenges from anyone that donates £25+. Here are some milestone challenges to start us off:
£100 = 5km holding a pint
£200 = Sub 10 min beer mile attempt
£300 = 5km in jeans and a shirt
£400 = Peaks run in fancy dress
£500 = Training run in a bikini
Thanks guys,
Love you all,
Jim x
