Story

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time in showing interest in supporting this cause. In April 2025, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in aid of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. The charity aims to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families.

Working within professional football, I regularly see the importance of having access to cardiac screening to identify and diagnose heart conditions to prevent SCA and other problems that may occur. Thankfully we routinely cardiac screen young athletes which allows them to compete freely or if something is flagged they can get the correct care to allow them to continue with reduced risks. Over 311,000 young people have now been screened by CRY. Not everyone is luckily enough to have this support and that is why this charity is so important to give as many young people this opportunity to get the screening to prevent serious incidences.

Please donate anything you can, big or small to help me and this charity raise as much as possible. It is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

James
