I’m running the Weavers Way 50km Ultramarathon on 3rd May 2025 to raise money for my local primary school. Horsford Primary School are raising £5,000 for a Rainbow Reflection Garden at our Mill Lane site, in memory of one of their pupils, Amber Sheehy, who sadly died on 14th January 2023, one day before her 9th birthday.

The school are eager to complete the garden before the Year 6's, her friends, leave in July 2025 so any donation you are able to make will be greatly received.

When Amber was five, and in the Reception year group, she was sadly diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour. Amber returned to school following successful surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, it was devastating to learn that the cancer had returned during Year 3 and unfortunately this time she was unable to beat it, although she never lost her spark.

Amber is always in the thoughts of many and is still a huge part of our community. Our Rainbow Reflection Garden is a way for the school to celebrate her life and honour her memory along with others that are unfortunately no longer with us.
