James's fundraiser for Lewisham Donation Hub

James Royston is raising money for Lewisham Donation Hub

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

We are a frontline service that collects and organises community donations of all kinds which we then distribute to those facing acute hardship in London. We are now one of the main points of support for those seeking asylum, the homeless, DV survivors & many other groups

Story

I’m running the London Marathon to raise money for Lewisham Donation Hub – an organisation I visited last week and which completely blew me away.

LDH does truly extraordinary work in our community. They make sure people who are struggling aren’t just getting by, but are actually equipped to cope with the world. That means food for people who need it, tents and outdoor kit for people sleeping rough, and practical support for people moving into new homes so they can live with dignity, not just four bare walls. It’s thoughtful, humane, and quietly transformational - and really one of a kind.

I’d be hugely grateful if you could support my run and help back what I genuinely think is one of the most impressive grassroots organisations in Lewisham. Every donation helps — and, unlike me on mile 22 (possibly!), LDH never gives up.
