Story
Alex & James’ 100K Challenge for Stand Up for Suffolk!
Hello everyone!
We’re James Thompson and Alex Parish – two brothers-in-law, friends, and now… 100-kilometer runners (well, almost!).
This year, we’ve set ourselves a huge challenge: to run 100 kilometers to raise money for an incredible cause – Stand Up for Suffolk, a local charity doing vital work to support communities across our county.
Why We're Doing This
Suffolk is a beautiful place, but it’s not without its challenges. Stand Up for Suffolk works tirelessly to support vulnerable individuals and families, improve access to mental health support, tackle loneliness and isolation, and build stronger, more connected communities.
We’ve both seen firsthand the difference this charity makes in people’s lives. Whether it’s providing support to someone struggling with their mental health, creating safe spaces for young people, or helping those in crisis – Stand Up for Suffolk is there.
We want to do our part to help them keep going.
The Challenge
Neither of us are ultra-marathon runners (yet!), but we’ve committed to run 100 kilometers – that’s more than two marathons back to back – in one go. It’s going to be tough. There will be sweat, there may be tears, and there will definitely be a lot of blisters.
But it will all be worth it if we can raise money and awareness for a cause that means so much to us.
How You Can Help
We’d be so grateful for your support – whether that’s through a donation, sharing our page, or cheering us on (we’ll need it!). Every pound you give goes straight to Stand Up for Suffolk and helps them continue their incredible work.
Please donate whatever you can – no amount is too small.
Together, we can stand up for Suffolk and make a real difference.
Thank you so much!
Alex & James
