Story
This year, alongside fellow members of the EOD community, I’m taking part in the Holdfast Challenge 2026, this is a gruelling event that will test each team taking part physically and mentally. This is in support of the Felix Fund Bomb Disposal Charity - an exceptional organisation dedicated to helping Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel across the Army, Navy, and Police.
The charity provides crucial support, from welfare services for serving personnel and their families to ongoing care for those affected by injury. At the heart of this community is the Felix Cat, a widely recognised symbol of courage and resilience among bomb disposal teams.
British Army Bomb Disposal operators respond to around 2,500 callouts each year, maintaining a constant state of readiness to protect the public and keep communities safe, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Any donations to the fundraiser would be very much appreciated.
