The year is 2022. The place is Bethlehem, perhaps the best-known town on the planet. Its people are suffering. Healthcare is patchy, and cancer accounts for 1 in 4 deaths. Despite its global recognition, few know of the dire situation here. The festive Christmas image and celebrations mask the real, on-the-ground problems that plague this community.

There is no palliative care available, leaving cancer sufferers and their families without the support they desperately need. The people simply do not have the resources to care for their loved ones in these trying times. Adding to this burden is COVID-19, which has further strained the already limited healthcare resources in Bethlehem.
