Walk and a skydive

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

The Walk

As many of you already know, a close friend of mine Gavin, who I met and worked alongside in the Metropolitan Police has been diagnosed with MND.

On Monday 13th April to Friday 24th April 2026, I will be walking from Hollingwood (Staveley) to Gavs house in London and back to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Along the way I will be joined by a few more close friends including Dean, Adu, Nathan and my little sister Rachel.

Below is a breakdown of the walk...

Day 1 Staveley to Trowell 28 miles

Day 2 Trowell to Leicester 32 miles

Day 3 Leicester to Watford Gap 27 miles

Day 4 Watford Gap to Bletchley 31 miles

Day 5 Bletchley to Amersham 30 miles

Day 6 Amersham to Gavs 24 miles

Days 7 – 12 will be in the reverse order.

I will be using the app strava daily to show the routes I have taken to get to our destination. I will be walking approximately 344 miles in total within 12 days.

Hasland Eagles U-12's

The Hasland Eagles U-12's will also be doing their bit to raise funds for MNDA.

The Eagles will be completing an 8 mile walk around Carsington Water in April in support of their coach (James).

The Skydive

On Saturday 25th April 2026 I will be recovering from the walk by doing a 10,000-foot sky dive with Bex Cousins at Langar, Nottingham.

Bex is a friend and colleague who has somehow managed to twist my arm with this one to tackle my greatest fear.

We are extremely grateful for past and future donations!

All funds raised will go directly to MNDA to aid further research to help people living with MND.

The day-to-day updates will be on the Analan Supplies Facebook page (Thank you Rob + Debs!!).

A massive thank you to everyone for your support as always!

James (Haz), Dean, Adu and Bex.
