This autumn I am running a northern double header - the Great North Run and the Yorkshire Marathon - to raise funds for Dementia UK in memory of our neighbour, Dawn Forbes, who suffered with early onset dementia for a number of years before she died.

The Dementia UK charity provided valuable support to Dawn. The charity is the specialist dementia nursing charity that is here for the whole family. Their nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide free, life-changing support and advice to anyone affected by dementia.
