Story

Alconex Climb Mount Kilimanjaro for Zarach

We are excited to announce our latest fundraising event for our charity partner Zarach – The Children’s Bed Charity.

on the lead up to the big climb I will be taking on a Half Marathon on Oulton race course on March 22nd then on May 23rd I will be tackling the Yorkshire 3 Peaks before taking on the UK 3 peaks on June 9th.

Then from 9th-14th Sept 26, a brave group of KiliConquerors are taking on the incredible challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro – the tallest free-standing mountain in the world and the highest peak in Africa at 5,895 metres above sea level.

Over the course of 7 days, we’ll trek through rainforest, moorland, alpine desert and icy summit terrain, battling altitude and fatigue to reach the “Roof of Africa.” It will be one of the toughest physical and mental challenges we’ve ever faced.

But we’re doing it for a reason: to raise vital funds for Zarach. £40,000 for Zarach, a charity providing beds and basics to children living in poverty. Each bed bundle costs £150, meaning together we can provide over 260 children with a safe, warm place to sleep.

Alconex are fully funding the expedition, so every penny raised will go directly to Zarach.

Every step we take up Kilimanjaro is for them. Please support our climb – together so we can help Zarach on their mission to end child bed poverty.
