Story
This year, we are running the London Marathon for Brain Research UK, a cause that is deeply personal to us and our family.
A couple of years ago our Mum suffered a brain aneurysm — something that can strike without warning and with potential devastating consequences. Thanks to quick action and the incredible skill and care of the medical team who treated her, it was detected and treated in time. We know how fortunate we are and we also acknowledge that many are not given that second chance.
That experience changed our perspective forever. It showed us just how vital brain research, early detection, and advanced treatment are in saving lives and protecting family and friends from heartbreak.
We’re running not just for our mum, but for everyone affected by neurological conditions — and for those who may face them in the future. By supporting Brain Research UK, we hope to help fund vital research that improves diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes, giving more people the chance that our mum had.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help bring us closer to a future where brain conditions can be detected earlier, treated more effectively, and, one day, prevented altogether.
Thank you for supporting us and for supporting this cause!
