Story
On Friday 3 October, I’ll be joining my Capgemini colleagues to take on the challenge of Boycott Your Bed, sleeping out to support children across the UK who go to bed every night feeling unsafe, cold or hopeless. We’re raising vital funds for Action for Children.
As a parent of two children under five, I know how important it is for children to feel safe, warm and loved. I want the best for my own children, and every child deserves the same. No child should have to go to bed hungry, or try to sleep in a cold, damp house. But right now, 4.5 million children in the UK live in poverty. That’s 31% of all children.
It’s relentless. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Every minute spent braving the elements could help Action for Children provide warm clothes, hot meals and a proper bed to a child who needs it.
Please support me in raising vital funds to help more children have a safe and happy childhood.
£50 could pay for new shoes for two children
£65 could help more children feel safe and supported
Childhood is precious. There isn’t long to get it right. But together, we can take action so no child misses out.
