Wow! What an amazing experience running the London Marathon! It was tough in those hot conditions, but a fantastic day with brilliant organisation. The thousands of people cheering all the way around the course, shouting out my name with encouragement was something that I will never forget. I definitely went out the first half too fast and the heat got to me quicker than I expected. But the support and seeing family and friends on route was really emotional and kept me going. The second half was slower but I was never not going to complete the marathon, I was constantly thinking of the amazing charity Barnados is and how much money I had raised.

I can advise you that to date I have raised over £3K which will be matched by my workplace, so over £6K.

My time was 4 hrs 27 mins which I am really pleased with.
