Story
Hi, I’m James and I’m 11 years old.
This year, I’m taking on my biggest challenge yet—a 20-mile sponsored cycle ride! I’m raising money for Voices in Exile, a wonderful local charity in Brighton that helps refugees. Offline I'll also be fundraising through my cycle ride for my school, as it’s my final year and I want to give something back for all the teachers and great times I’ve had here.
I’ve helped collect clothes and food for refugees before, and I know how much support they need. Refugees have had really hard lives, and I want to help make things better for them. I hope this ride inspires more people to help, and shows refugees that there are kind people in this country who care.
I actually wanted to cycle 40 miles, but my mum put her foot down! I’m really looking forward to the challenge (and the BBQ afterwards, where I plan to eat lots of sausages!). My motto is: do what you can, then see what you’ve done—and if you’re determined enough, you can keep going.
I’m aiming to raise £125. Please sponsor me if you can—every pound will help Voices in Exile support refugees who are struggling, and help my school too.
Thank you so much for your support!
From,
James
