Running the London and Berlin Marathons for Dementia UK!

James Khan is raising money for Dementia UK

Berlin Marathon 2026 · 27 September 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Run on Team Dementia UK in the Berlin Marathon 2026! Together we are running for more dementia specialist Admiral Nurses who provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease.

Story

I'm running the London and Berlin Marathons for Dementia UK. Dementia came to the forefront of my life when my Nana experienced it daily up to her death last October. The impact this had on her and the wider family is the reason I am raising money for such an important charity. Seeing her memory decline was heart breaking, and no-one should have to experience losing part of themselves.

To enhance our chances of raising crucial donations, I will be attempting to break the World Record for the Fastest Marathon Dressed as a Road Vehicle!

Dementia UK help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.

No-one should ace dementia alone, and by donating, we can help make that a reality.
