Hi everyone,

My partner Lisa and I are taking part in a mixed doubles HYROX at Cardiff in May. This charity holds a very special place in both of our lives and we thought it was the right fit for us.

Lisa was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when she was 21 years old and in her final year of university. Macmillan played a vital role in helping her to navigate this time, and still support her tremendously 3 and a half years on from her initial diagnosis.

I’ve been extremely proud of her ever since learning about her story and know how important this is to her and I will be immensely proud to be doing this race with her!

1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our lifetimes, and the support from charities like macmillan is essential for those going through cancer or for their friends and family. If you can donate it would be greatly appreciated, or even just sharing the link so we can get the word out there
