Mencap Liverpool & Sefton is a local, independent charity that promotes equality for people with a learning disability - helping them to discover new opportunities, make new friends, and feel valued and safe in their community.

Story

Established 1968, Mencap Liverpool and Sefton are a local charity who share the same vision, mission and values as national Mencap but are independently run and focus their work and support entirely on people living locally. The Charity believe in fostering a sense of equality and providing opportunities for all to achieve their aspirations - celebrating the incredible potential within. With the right support, everyone can shine brightly.

After volunteering at the Cottage in Crosby I gained real insight into the fantastic work Mencap Liverpool & Sefton do and wanted to help raise funds for the Charity. I was truly humbled by the amazing staff and volunteers and wanted to help further with their fund raising.

All monies raised will be split between:

1. Their Access Improvement Fund - Improving the Accessibility of Mencap Cottage

2. Their activity programme - Providing a range of activities to our members to enable them to maximise their potential
