Story
Hull to Cambridge Ride for Prostate Cancer UK
Supporting men’s health, marking a new beginning
As I launch my new venture — Pinchbeck Marketing & Advisory — I wanted to start not just with a business milestone, but with a personal challenge that makes a difference.
So I’m taking on a solo cycle ride from Hull to Cambridge in aid of Prostate Cancer UK.
The route isn’t random — it reflects the regions where I’ve worked, built lasting relationships, and will continue to support businesses and organisations: Hull and East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, the East Midlands, Cambridge and the East of England, and London.
After more than two decades leading marketing and board strategy for Streets Chartered Accountants, and now launching my own advisory business, this feels like the right way to begin a new chapter — with purpose, challenge, and momentum.
I was due to take part in Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4 in Glasgow earlier this year, raising funds and awareness for those affected by stage 4 prostate cancer. When I couldn’t make that event, I decided to do this instead — to ride for the same cause, in my own way.
Every mile I cover from Hull to Cambridge is to help fund life-saving research and support for men living with prostate cancer.
If you can, please support me with a donation — big or small — and help raise awareness of a disease that affects 1 in 8 men in the UK.
Thank you for your support and encouragement.
