BT Bosworth Challenge · 26 April 2024 ·

Since 2001, we have undertaken challenges and fund raising events to raise funds towards helping those who are diagnosed with cancer. The funds are used to finance projects where funding is not available via the NHS or other public bodies. To date we have raised over £719,000 helping 89 projects.

Story

Brown Dog have several events every year. I've wanted to help them for a while due to a personal connection with the charity. So this year I'm walking the Battle of Bosworth Battlefield, a total of 12.5 miles.

Every year they raise a phenomenal amount of money to provide equipment for local hospitals in the area of cancer diagnosis.

This fundraising is helping towards a 'Single Balloon Enteroscope'. It can be used to help diagnose cancer in the small intestine as well as other procedures too - although all patients benefitting from it will be referred through a cancer route.

Please help me reach my target of £500 which will go some way to helping Brown Dog Charity buy the single balloon enteroscope for Leicester Royal Infirmary.
