Story
I’m taking on the challenge of running a half marathon every day for a week to raise money for Weldmar Hospicecare, a charity that means so much to me and my family.
Starting Monday the 24th November I will be running a half marathon a day all the way through till the 30th (routes to be confirmed). If you would like to join me for a few miles please get in touch!
I’ve sadly lost two grandparents to cancer, and I’ve seen first-hand just how vital compassionate end-of-life care is. Weldmar provide outstanding care and support to patients living with a life-limiting illness, whether in the comfort of their own homes, in their inpatient unit, or out in the community. They don’t just care for patients, but also support families with counselling, advice, and a friendly ear at the most difficult times.
Every pound raised helps Weldmar continue their incredible work — from specialist nurses making home visits, to therapies that ease pain and anxiety, to bereavement support for loved ones left behind. They rely heavily on fundraising to keep these services running, so your support really will make a difference.
This challenge is my way of saying thank you, honouring my grandparents, and helping ensure Weldmar can continue being there for other families when they need it most.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world.
