Cancer affects many of us, and we all have our own connections to loved ones, family, or friends who have gone through treatment. In my case, I lost both my maternal grandparents to cancer during my childhood, and although at the time I did not truly understand what that meant. I do remember the incredible help and support that the cancer charity gave my mum and her family.

Both my maternal grandparents had a passion for helping other people and dancing. Therefore, when I heard about the fantastic opportunity to be part of the Terumo Aortic team to raise money for the Beatson cancer charity by participating in the Strictly Beatson event there was only ever one answer.

Over the next 5 months, my colleagues and I will be slipping and sliding our way to the Strictly Beatson ballroom dance event in order to raise a total of £9,500.
