Jamie & Harry’s fundraiser for St Catherine's Hospice Preston

Jamie Bantleman is raising money for St Catherine's Hospice Preston

70km Ultra Marathon - From Old Trafford to Conway Drive · 25 July 2026

St Catherine’s cares for patients and families who are affected by life-shortening conditions, at the hospice and in people’s own homes across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble. Our specialist care helps people enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life.

Story

Jamie and Harry will be running 70 gruelling kilometres from Old Trafford, home of Manchester United, to Conway Drive, home of Simon Wright. Simon, is Jamie and Harry’s much loved uncle who at the age of 44 has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer that unfortunately is not treatable. After spending time at St Catherine’s hospice, he has been given the most amazing treatment and with their support is able to go home to spend quality time with his wife, Kate and young son, Sam, who is only 2 years old.

St Catherine's provides palliative and end-of-life care and support for the people of Central Lancashire, through our specialised services at the hospice and in people’s own homes. We're here to help people facing life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure to enjoy the best possible quality of life to the end of life. It costs more than £5m to run our charity every single year. We rely on the amazing efforts and wonderful generosity of supporters like you to help us raise the funds we need. Thank you!
