Story
Jamie, aged 14, is raising money for St Nicholas Hospice in Bury St Edmunds (and his mum Kate is raising money for MacMillan) by walking 26 miles along the Norfolk Coast on May 10th 2025.
For those that know Jamie, being PDA, he really struggles with completing chores, tasks and challenges - demonstrating how significant this cause is for him.
On March 13th, 2025, Jamie and his mum lost a very dear friend, Christine, following a cancer diagnosis in November 2024. Christine passed away in the care of St Nicholas Hospice who treated her with kindness and dignity while helping to keep her comfortable during her last days. It is shocking to us that the hospice relies solely on charitable donations for funding and so we want to do our bit as a thank you for their care for our special Christine, who still had a lot of life to live.
Christine was a very special person in our lives and we both miss her so so much. It is still very fresh and painful and despite both of us being relatively unfit, we will do this to raise awareness ands hopefully achieve our target (and beyond 🤞)to thank St Nicholas Hospice for their support of people in end of life care.
Thank you for reading and many thanks for any amount you can offer.
