Our team of Lullaby Heroes are taking on the iconic London Marathon!

Story

I'm going to be running the London Marathon in 2026, as part of Team Lullaby, in memory of our son Otis.

We lost our boy to SIDS in October 2022 and I am hoping to raise £200 for every day that we had with him. I know my buddy will be right beside me for every km.

The pain of losing a child never leaves you. We talk about Otis every day and how lucky we were to have him in our lives, albeit for such a heartbreakingly short period of time.

I'm running for the Lullaby Trust because we are so grateful for the support it provided as we welcomed Otis' sister into the world and in the hopes that its advice, research and support allows other families to see their babies grow up.

---

The Lullaby Trust is a charity that saves babies' lives and supports bereaved families. Around 3 babies a week still die from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), The Lullaby Trust is committed to bringing that number down to zero.

Funds will help grieving families to receive specialist help, funding research to prevent more babies from dying suddenly and unexpectedly, and allowing more parents to receive advice on safer baby sleep.

Your kind support is crucial to creating a future where no baby dies suddenly and unexpectedly. The Lullaby Trust is reliant on voluntary donations so your generosity helps save lives.

£23.50 could pay for our bereavement helpline to provide advice and support to a first-time caller. Our support service is available whether people are newly bereaved or their bereavement was many years ago.

£29 could pay for a support package to be sent to 5 bereaved families, giving advice, sharing experiences from other bereaved parents and signposting to where they can get further support.

£74 could pay to train a bereaved parent or family members to become Lullaby Trust Befrienders, offering specialist support to other families who have experienced the death of a baby or young child.

£110 could pay for a movement monitor to support a bereaved family on our Care of Next Infant programme, helping to reduce anxiety and giving them peace of mind for the first year of their baby’s life.

£122 could pay for a bereaved family to attend a Lullaby Trust family day, allowing them to spend time with their children, remember their baby who died, and to access face-to-face information and support.
