Story
Due to unforseen viruses coming my way, I’m now running a local half marathon around the streets of Woking for White Lodge – and this time it’s MY turn to don the red and white vest all in the name of charity!
Over the past few months, I’ve been quietly building myself up from an infrequent 5k runner to taking on the half marathon challenge. Running is definitely not my first choice as an activity so it's taken a fair amount of mental and physical effort to get this far.
I’m running for White Lodge, a charity that’s very close to our hearts. As many of you know, our youngest son Willem has autism with a learning disability. White Lodge is all about powering up disability inclusion – creating opportunities, building community, and ensuring that everyone can belong. That mission means the world to us as a family.
As friends will know, Kim is the usual runner in the house but now the day has come and it's your opportunity to support me in taking on this running challenge.
No donation is too small. Every single penny will make a real difference for White Lodge – and will give me that extra push on race day...
Thank you so much for your support, it means alot.
