Jamie's Ironman for Countess of Brecknock Hospice

Jamie Sarginson is raising money for Countess of Brecknock Hospice

Ironman Wales 2025 · 21 September 2025

Based in Andover, the Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides palliative and end of life specialist care to people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Outstanding care is given wherever it is needed, this can be within the inpatient unit, the day care facility or the patient’s home.

Story

I’m taking part in Ironman Wales Triathlon on the 21st of September 2025. This is a challenging endeavour to complete a 3.8km sea swim, 180km hilly bike course, and a full marathon (42.2km) to finish. My aim to complete this within 12 hours.

I am raising money for The Countess of Brecknock Hospice for all the important work they do locally.

The Countess of Brecknock Hospice provides respite and palliative care to adults suffering from life-limiting illness who live in Andover and its surrounding villages or who have a connection with the area, together with comfort and support for their families, friends and carers.

We are hugely reliant on voluntary donations to maintain the exceptionally high standard of services and care we provide. Put simply, if we don't support the Hospice, it won't be there to help when it is needed.
