London Marathon 2025 #TeamLymphoma

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
I’m thrilled / terrified to be running the London marathon in 2025. I am running though to help raise vital funds for a charity very close to my heart and every penny I raise will keep me motivated to get round the 26.2 miles!
In 2022 I was diagnosed with diffuse large B cell non Hodgkins Lymphoma, an aggressive type of blood cancer affecting the immune system. Getting a cancer diagnosis at any stage of life completely blindsides you. It can be a scary and lonely place and that is why it is so important to support the work of cancer charities but certainly in my case, Lymphoma Action, who do amazing work raising awareness and providing support to those affected by this horrible disease.
Thankfully after six months of treatment I received the news that I was in remission. I am one of the lucky ones and I will be forever thankful to all those who supported me.
I’ve learnt not to take a single day for granted and I’m running the London Marathon for all loved ones and their families affected by cancer. I hope whatever little I can raise will help to make a difference supporting others in the future.
