My Sister and I have both used this charity, we grew up in a household of domestic violence, I cannot go into to much detail as the police investigation is still ongoing.

My Mam suffered 18 years of abuse physical, emotional, mental, control and cohesion. My entire life was witnessing and living with this abuse I also suffered physical and emotional abuse. Harbour helped my sister and I understand this was not normal behaviour they helped us recognise the abuse we had all suffered and understand what a healthy relationship is. We waited along time to get the help we needed I want to raise funds to help others get help sooner.

The question everyone asks is why did my Mam stay why did she put us through this life? I asked this, I was angry at my Mam. Harbour helped me understand how control and cohesion affects the victims my Mam was 18 when she met our monster spent half her life being abused In every way you can possibly think. She was 36 when she eventually got out. She stood in front of me and took many a beating for me knowing he was going to beat her harder for getting in front of me. I am autistic and I annoyed our monster. I was never good enough. This weekend I host my own golf day against my school teachers to raise money for a charity that my sister is still attending classes to, And to help other victims understand so they can be free.
