Story

Starting on the 24th May, myself & some fellow cyclist will be starting our grand LEJOG (Lands’ End to John O’Groats) cycle adventure, an epic 1000 miles +. This is our longest cyclist challenge to date. I’m raising money for DADLG, alongside a fellow cyclist John.

Durham Area Disability Leisure Group or DADLG for short is a local charity that aims ‘To provide sports, leisure and social opportunities for children and young people with disabilities living within Durham and the surrounding areas.

Disabled children and their families can find it difficult to access everyday activities and so DADLG provides a structured and supportive environment where everyone can get involved and try new things no matter what their difficulties.

The charity is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers and staff who give up considerable time and expertise to ensure that the charity runs smoothly and continues to offer great opportunities to its members.

The charity means a lot to us my daughter is one of the young people who benefits from this charity, and we have seen firsthand how great this organisation is and see our daughter grow as a person within this safe environment.

The trip is self-funded, so every penny raised will go to DADLG and help them to continue the support they provide and opportunities they offer. If you can, please help and support the charity in any way you can. May that be a donation or just sharing the charity amongst friends.
