Story
Throughout my life, I’ve had multiple surgeries and can still count them all on my fingers and toes! I feel lucky to be able to do that. So far, I’ve had 19 surgeries, and in the past few years, I have had unexpected major surgeries on my shoulder, ankle and leg due to a rare bone disorder. They all hit me for six, massively.
MY STORY
After my last surgery in 2024, I opened up publicly about my condition for the first time. I hope that by doing that, it helps other patients know they’re not alone in their struggles and that their experiences matter. You’re all incredible.

Each surgery knocked me back, but I’ve set three goals:
1️⃣ Keep pushing forward — head high, chin forwards, always determined.
2️⃣ Raise awareness and change attitudes towards disability. To those facing challenges, I’m with you every step of the way.
3️⃣ Conquer a 3-day, approx 60KM Lake District hike in 2025!
The Hike & Why It Matters?
From 11th–13th October, alongside a close friend, I’ll be taking on this challenge for Rebuild Charity and King’s Limb Reconstruction team, who have supported me throughout my life.
In April 2023, while filming Mission to Burnley for Sky, I hiked to the top of a stunning hilltop overlooking Lake Windermere. Around the same time, I was told I needed multiple major surgeries. The only thing on my mind? Getting back to that exact spot. Now, I’m determined to make it happen—this time, over 3 days and 60KM.
How You Can Help?
The Rebuild Charity fills critical NHS gaps for limb reconstruction patients, funding specialist physios, mental health support, nurses, and more.
Every penny raised will go towards supporting patients medically, physically, and socially, helping them and their families navigate the life-changing challenges they face.
💙 £500 buys orthopedic shoes for a patient.
💙 £75 funds a vital CBT session.
💙 £25 prints fundraising materials.
The King’s Limb Reconstruction team and the Rebuild Charity were with me every single step of the way, they made me feel at ease, strong and never alone. I have been under their care all my life, I owe them my life and without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today, they’re a family to me.
Let’s make a difference. Let’s raise awareness. Let’s change attitudes about disability and show what’s possible when we come together.
Incredibly grateful for your kind and generous support, your support really does means the world. Thank YOU xx
