Story
In April 2026, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on behalf of Aching Arms, a charity that recently became very important to our family.
I’m not a runner — I’ve always avoided running whenever I could — so taking on a half marathon is well outside my comfort zone but is for a great cause. Over the past few months, running has become a helpful way for me to clear my mind and process everything we’ve been through.
Earlier this year, we experienced the loss of our baby boy, Jace. During that time, Aching Arms provided support that meant a great deal to us. One of the things they do is offer special memorabilia and comfort bears to families who have lost a baby. It’s a small gesture, but one that carries a lot of meaning during an incredibly difficult time. Our daughter still keeps the Aching Arms bear they gave her, and it has become a simple but meaningful way for her to remember her baby brother.
That support is why I chose to run for Aching Arms. My goal is to help raise funds so they can continue offering this same care to other families experiencing baby loss. The money raised will go toward providing more bears and more support packages to those who need them most.
I am also hoping, through this fundraising, to sponsor and dedicate an Aching Arms bear in Jace’s name, so another family can receive comfort during their own loss — just as we did.
I am dedicating this run to baby Jace, born sleeping on October 2025, and I would truly appreciate any support you can give toward this important cause.
Thank you for reading, and thank you for supporting Aching Arms.
