Story
On October 18th I will be taking part in a marathon at Battersea Park.
As many of you know, following a stroke, my dad recently spent 10 weeks in hospital including several days in the emergency department and weeks on the specialist and recovery wards at East Surrey and Crawley hospitals.
This run seemed like a good opportunity to raise some money for SASH - The Surrey & Sussex Healthcare Charity, which you can read a little more about below:
SASH Charity is the charity for East Surrey Hospital, and all the services provided by Surrey and Sussex Healthcare (SASH) NHS Trust.
We help create great experiences for patients and staff, right here at your local hospital.
In recent months donations have created a new dementia friendly courtyard, the Camomile Courtyard, opened by Dame Judi Dench in Spring 2019, funded a family fun day for children with Epilepsy and their families, provided advanced equipment and much more (more on www.sashcharity.org)
