Great Eastern Run 2026 · 11 October 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

Raising awareness of the support EACH provides in Peterborough is incredibly important to me, which is why I'm proud to be taking part in the Great Eastern Run half-marathon on 11 October!

Every week, I make the journey to Peterborough to support children, young people and adults receiving services from EACH. As a Child and Young Person Counsellor, I provide sessions in schools, visit families in their homes, and meet children and adults at the City Care Centre on Thorpe Road.

Over the last four years, I've come to know Peterborough well. If I get a few spare minutes between appointments, I've discovered that Thorpe Meadows Rowing Lake is a wonderful place to pause and recharge. I've even been known to fit in a run around the lake after work!

Travelling across the region has helped me appreciate just how difficult it can be for some families to reach our hospice in Milton, Cambridge. That's why I'm so passionate about making sure families know that EACH's support is available closer to home too.

By bringing services into schools, homes and community settings, we can reach more children and families and ensure they receive the care and support they need.

I would be so grateful if you would consider making a donation to EACH as my colleagues, friends and I complete the Great Eastern Run!!

Thank you so much, Jan
