The Big PADS Push

Janaki Das is raising money for Down Syndrome UK | Positive About Down Syndrome

For PADs

We are back for this year's Big PADS Push! Join us for our virtual sponsored walk to help raise awareness and funds.

Story

As you are probably aware, our beautiful daughter Lara was born this year with Down Syndrome. Lara is our biggest blessing, and has taught us more about perspective, love and resilience than we could have ever imagined.

As we ventured into the unknown, PADS (Positive About Down Syndrome) has been an integral form of support for us in so many ways. From breastfeeding, to NICU stays, NG feeding, sibling support, inclusivity, medical conditions to so much more. We can’t thank them enough for being there to navigate us during this time and have helped us support each other and family during the process.

We are going to taking part in the Big PADS Push to help raise funds to help Down Syndrome UK reach more expectant and new parents of a child with Down syndrome to provide support and resources to help their little one flourish and thrive.

We will be walking and pushing our children in Regents Park on Sunday 12th October 2025 for 2.1 miles (to represent Trisomy 21). We would be so grateful if you could show us support or donate however much if you can to this incredible charity that provide invaluable support our children and families.

Thank you for so much,

With Love,

Lara, Neev, Janaki & Ruhin Das x
