Janaki's fundraiser for Project Care Volunteering

Janaki Mistry is raising money for Project Care Volunteering
“Volunteering”

on 1 September 2026

We organise group volunteering trips for university students to partner schools for disadvantaged young people in India and Uganda. We and the volunteers raise funds throughout the year which are then invested into these partner schools.

Story

Project Care Volunteering organises group volunteering trips for university students to schools and colleges for disadvantaged young people in India and Uganda.

The charity has raised over £115,000 over the years towards transformational education projects. This has included sanitation projects and the building of new school infrastructure (such as classrooms, playgrounds, toilets and kitchens).

I am volunteering in September 2026 in Bhuj, Gujarat for Navchetan Andhjan Mandal School.

I am raising money for the school which helps disabled children through teaching them both academic and vocational skills. Being able to give back to our community and help children in India is a huge privilege and I am grateful to take part in this opportunity. It means a lot to me to be able to support those in need and I am excited to learn more about the children as well as support them in learning and activities.

All donations will be used for the children and improvement of facilities to help them learn and develop. I would really appreciate if you can support me on this journey!
