Story
Lots of you know I’m a passionate supporter of HOPE since I bought a raffle ticket and won the top prize of a yoga holiday in Kolkata in 2018: a trip that changed my life, introducing me to street children and this amazing charity which supports them and their families in so many essential ways. I now sponsor 2 children in HOPE’s care and can really see the difference my support makes to their lives.
Geography and the country they were born in has condemned street-connected children into a life of hardship, but there is HOPE.
From 12 April until 12 May, I am taking part in Footsteps For HOPE and raising funds for the street-connected children in HOPE's care in Kolkata to help provide them with an education.
Please support me by donating or sharing awareness, or join me on this challenge. Together we have the power to make a difference and help to create a brighter future for these children.
Often these children are first-generation learners, who are forced to rag pick or beg, but with the power of an education they are enabled to break this cycle of hardship and build better futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.
What your donation could provide:
£8.60 one pair of shoes and school uniform
£30 educational stationery and toys for a child
100% of funds will support HOPE's education programmes.
